Tracker
Frameless neuronavigation software for Image Guided Neurosurgery procedures. Distributed with hardware from other manufacturers. The Tracker is used in conjunction with specific hardware, consisting of a 3D measuring optical system with passive markers or fixed assets in surgical application tools.-
Tracker is a software system for frameless neuronavigation. It depends on external hardware, mainly an optical system that measures the 3D position of either active or passive markers affixed to specific tools for surgical procedures.
Using the information from the optical system Tracker is able to show the position of tools inside the surgical volume in real time, at a rate of 15 frames per second. The surgical volume could be created from sets of magnetic resonance images (MR) or computed tomography images (CT).
The communication between Tracker and the optical system uses an independent driver that conforms a modular design to ease the implementation of new optical systems. Implementing a new camera means writing a new communication driver keeping untouched the rest of Tracker code. -
- Image registration by surface matching.
- Image registration with reference points.
- Image registration under user manual control.
- Support for DICOM images imported via network, CD/DVD or USB pendrives.
- Up to 1024 images (slices) per plan.
- Renderization of the anatomy and surgical tools in 2D and 3D.
- Projection of the surgical pointer in real time into multiple planes simultaneously (axia, coronal, sagital) and 3D.
- Renderization of surgical volume from the tool point of view (BEV).
- Multimodal image registration and fusion.
- Support for varios instances of TRACKER running simultaneously on different image sets. In this case the use of two or more monitors is highly recommended.
- Tools for drawing region of interest (ROIs). Use of automatic and manual segmentation techniques.
